What is the Fox Valley Area Action council?
We are a group of active small business owners and NFIB members which meet four times a year to hear from lawmakers, politicians, and each other regarding statewide and national issues facing small businesses in the Fox Valley area. In addition, we receive timely updates from Springfield and Washington to give us the opportunity to have our voices heard on behalf of small business.

What is NFIB?
The National Federation of Independent Business is the nation's largest small-business advocacy group representing the consensus views of its 600,000 members in DC and all 50 state capitals.

About Us : NFIB Fox Valley Area Action Council
About Us

The NFIB Fox Valley Area Action Council began held its first meeting in January of 2005.  The purpose of the AAC meetings is to bring NFIB-member small business owners together to hear from lawmakers, policy experts, bureaucrats and each other.

In addition, AAC members receive very timely information from Springfield and Washington.  This gives small business owners a chance to have their voice heard before the vote takes place rather than after it's too late.  When the General Assembly is in session there are more emails coming from Springfield to keep us informed.  When an email signals a vote which affects your small business or an issue important to you, it usually contains the pertinent contact information so you can make contact with the right lawmaker as quickly as possible.

The commitment involved is relatively small.
  • Four meetings per year
  • Email updates from the AAC Chairman to keep you informed
  • No additional dues to be a member
